Abstract This Ordinance, based on the provisions of the Bulgarian Law on plant protection, determines the conditions and necessary order for control over: 1. the plant protection products (or PPP) in general; 2. the trade of PPP; 3. the repackaging of PPP; 4. the storage of PPP; 5. the use of PPP. The implementation of the ordinance shall be assigned to the executive director of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency. The official control shall be carried out by the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) in accordance with the procedures under article 21 of the Law for management of the agro-food chain, and according to article 24 of the Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products.
