Abstract

These Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the enrichment (fortification) of wheat flour of the first, highest grades and edible table salt standards and the recommended level of ingredient content contributing to the prevention of micronutrient insufficiency and related diseases through nutritional efficiency, precautionary enrichment (fortification) of wheat flour of the first and premium grades and edible table salt, also provides state supervision and control in the field of ensuring the safety of fortification of these foodstuffs. Types of foodstuffs to be enriched: (a) wheat flour of the first and highest grades; and (b) edible table salt. For enrichment of wheat flour of the highest and first grades and edible table salt are used: (a) vitamin B12; (b) vitamin premixes; and (c) minerals and metals. The content of vitamins and minerals guaranteed by the manufacturer in fortified food should be sufficient to meet at least 10% of daily requirement for these micronutrients at the usual level of intake of fortified food product and should not exceed 30% of the recommended daily requirement.
