Abstract This Ordinance regulates the conditions and the order for: 1. authorization for placing on the market and use of plant protection products (PPP), here also for imported products; 2. renewal of a permit for placing on the market and use of PPP; 3. modification, revocation or termination of a permit for placing on the market and use of PPP. The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) shall carry out the activities for authorization of PPP, except for the performance of assessment with a report for assessment of the products. The relevant guidelines of the European Commission, the European Food Safety Authority, the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) currently in force shall apply to the implementation of authorization of related activities subject of this text.
