This Ordinance enters into force on 1 July 2010.
Abstract

This Government Ordinance, which is composed of seven articles and four Annexes, lays down rules for the protection of chickens kept for meat production. The rules apply to rearing stock on holdings which have both breeding stock and rearing stock. Holdings must comply with the requirements specified in Annex 1 to ensure the welfare of chickens. Such requirements concern feeding, drinkers, litter, ventilation, heating, light and cleaning.
