The Ordinance enters into force on 15 September 2012.
Abstract

This Governmental Ordinance, which is composed of 17 articles and four Annexes, lays down measures to fight agains bluetongue and its eradication. Owner, holder or another person authorized to dispose of live animals or products of animal origin must inform without any delay the competent authority ??on any suspicion of bluetongue. If a holding located in a region not being the subject to restrictions specified by this Ordinance contains one or more animals suspected of bluetongue, the official veterinarian shall immediately take steps to confirm or rule out the disease. Art. 5 provides cases when the competent authority may authorize the use of vaccines against bluetongue.
