Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Law on hunting and protection of wild mammals and birds. The Canton is divided in hunting grounds as laid down in Annex 1. The competent authority issue an appropriate form valid for the whole canton, to be duly filled within 30 days upon receipt. The auction of hunting grounds has to be published in the local Gazette. If there is no offer for an auction, a second auction can be ordered. The text consist of 29 articles divided into 12 chapters as follows: Hunting grounds (I); Concession of hunting grounds (II); Entitled persons to hunting (III); Hunting activities (IV); Limitation of hunting activities (V); Protection against damage caused by wild animals (VI); Compensation for damage caused by wild animals (VII); Information, formation and research (VIII); Financing (IX); Penalties (X); Enforcement of the present Law (XI); Transitional and final provisions (14).
