Abstract

The present Ordinance by the Canton of Schaffhausen implements above all federal provisions relating to hazardous substances, protection of soil, substances dangerous for the environment and special waste. The text deals with the following matters: competent authorities, definition of special waste, supervision of enforcement, information and monitoring, inventories of chemicals and special waste, and issue of licences by the Office for Food Control and Protection of the Environment. The Ordinanceconsists of 24 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Competences (II); Enforcement tasks (III); Miscelleanous (IV); Final and transitional provisions (V).
