Abstract The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Resources implements various Community Regulations on the same subject as laid down in article 1. Article 2 names the Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Resources as responsible for the enforcement of the present Ordinance. The first Part concerns the sphere of application and competences; the second Part - entitled “Implementing provisions concerning the re-structuring of the Austrian sugar market” – deals with duties of sugar producers, control of applications and their approval, granting of subsidies and issuing of a social plan. This Part contains also provisions on the assignment of allocations on behalf of the sugar industry. The third Part provides for control and withdrawal of sugar by the competent authorities, as well as penalties and entry into force. The text consists of 17 articles divided into 3 Main Parts.
