Abstract The present regional Ordinance by the government of Vorarlberg provides regulations for the practice of fishing on Lake Constance. Part 1 contains provisions relating to professional fishing. It deals with authorized fishing gear, control, use and marking of fishing gear, as well as the different kinds of fishing nets. Part 2 concerns non-commercial fishing; Part 3 issues common provisions for professional and non-commercial fishing. And finally Part 4 and Part 5 pertain respectively to the sphere of application of the Lake Constance Fisheries Act and to organizational, transitional and final provisions.
