The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 1997.
Abstract

An Ordinance to regulate the slaughtering of animals. In principle animals to be slaughtered must suffer as little as possible. The text consists of 9 articles dealing with: rules as to slaughterhouses; adequate training of slaughterers; slaughtering methods, and penalties. The Act consists of 9 articles.
