Abstract The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the functioning of animal insemination and embryo transfer banks. The extraction, treatment, examination, conservation and marking of semen shall be carried out according to the latest state of science. Only those animals shall be accepted and used for insemination, which fulfil the requirements listed in Annex 2.
