The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 July 1998.
Abstract

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the functioning of animal insemination and embryo transfer banks. The extraction, treatment, examination, conservation and marking of semen shall be carried out according to the latest state of science. Only those animals shall be accepted and used for insemination, which fulfil the requirements listed in Annex 2. The text consists of 17 articles divided into 3 Parts as follows: Functioning of an insemination banks (1); Functioning of embryo transfer banks (2); Breeding attestation (3). Fourteen Annexes are enclosed.
