Abstract

The present Ordinance introduces some amendments to the Animal Transport Certificate Ordinance (Bible. No. 129/1995). In particular, the Ordinance amends article 1 dealing with the contents of the transport certificate. It establishes that the certificate has to contain all details as laid down in article 3a, paragraphs 1 and 2, of the animal Transport Act. The certificate will have to indicate the exact time and date of delivery and arrival of animals; as to loading and unloading the certificate shall also indicate the respective countries involved. The transport undertaker is due to ensure the truthfulness of the document. The Ordinance adds also a paragraph 2 - dealing with the Annex to the present Ordinance and its entry into force – to article 3. Finally, the present Ordinance replaces the Annex concerning further details to be mentioned in the certificate of transportation by road.
