Abstract

This Order approves the use of additives in foodstuff with Complementary Nutrition Information and Food for Special Purposes. It establishes that foodstuff, whose energy value and/or nutrient contents have been altered in order to comply with the parameters of the Technical Regulations on Complementary Nutrition Information and Food for Special Purposes, may use food additives having the same functions and the same maximum limits laid down for the corresponding conventional food. The use of additives not provided for in the similar conventional food, or at an unauthorized limit, is permitted where justified by the technological need arising from the total or partial replacement of the ingredients.
