Abstract

This Order determines the undertaking of measures to prevent the occurrence and spread of the harmful organism corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera virgifera Le Conte) and measures for its suppression on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia. These measures taken to prevent the emergence and spread of the corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera virgifera Le Conte) and other measures for its suppression are all aimed to: a) minimize the phytosanitary risk of emergence and further spread; b) locate and determine its prevalence and distribution on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia; c) bring its further diffusion under control and d) reduce its presence density to a level that will not cause significant economic losses and will enable economically sustainable production.
