Regulation on intermediate felling establishes general principles for carrying out intermediate felling, use of types, norms and technologies of forest tending. The following types of felling shall be authorized on the national territory: (a) intermediate felling; (b) felling for reproduction of low-value forest species; (c) sanitary felling; (d) clear felling; (e) selection felling; and (f) miscellaneous felling. The purpose of intermediate felling shall be to form sustainable high-productive precious forest plantations, conservation and reinforcement of beneficial and useful qualities thereof, and timely use of timber.
