Abstract Chief of the Federal Frontier Guards Service, for the purpose of improvement of the legal regulation of the functioning of the bodies of coastguard service attached to the Federal Frontier Guards Service, orders to validate the Regulation. Bodies of coastguard service attached to the Federal Frontier Guards Service are authorized institutions entitled to carry out state frontier policy of the Russian Federation in the field of protection of State Border. The main tasks of the bodies of coastguard service are: 1). Carrying out state control in the sphere of protection of marine biodiversity; 2). Participation in the protection of inland waters, territorial sea, exclusive economic zone and continental shelf of the Russian Federation and their natural resources for the purpose of their conservation and rational use and for the purpose of protection of maritime zone, economic and other legitimate interests of the Russian Federation.
