Abstract

President of the Federal Fisheries Committee, for the purpose of carrying out arrangements attained in the process of Latvian-Russian consultations that took place in the period of 18-21 December 2001 (contained in the Annex 1 to the present document), orders as follows: 1). To distribute quotas for sprats and herring for 2002 for catch within exclusive economic zone of the Latvian Republic between the Russian fishing organizations at the expense the Russian allocated in the Baltic Sea. Owners of the fishing vessels must observe fishing conditions envisaged by the Protocol of Latvian-Russian consultations. 2). To forward in proper time to the Latvian counterpart the list of the Russian fishing vessels planned for catch, storage and transportation of sprats and herring within exclusive economic zone of the Latvian Republic. 3). To inform monthly the Latvian counterpart of the results of catch and unshipping of fish caught within exclusive economic zone of the Latvian Republic. 4). To carry out working meetings between the Russian and the Latvian specialists regarding issues of control over catch and fisheries regulation.
