Abstract

Sanitary rules “Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the organization and application of sanitary-antiepidemic, sanitary-preventive arrangements for the prevention of particularly dangerous infectious diseases” establish requirements for the organization and performance of sanitary and antiepidemic sanitary and preventive measures, aimed at preventing particularly dangerous infectious diseases. Organization and implementation of sanitary and epidemiological measures, sanitary and preventive measures to prevent anthrax in the rural inhabited areas and in territories under risk of anthrax outbreak by territorial units and organizations of the government agency in the field of sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population shall include: (a) detection, registration and accounting of anthrax outbreaks, rural inhabited areas with registered anthrax cases, mapping of anthrax cases by the geographical coordinates; (b) control over inadmissibility of use of land in human activity areas located in the sanitary protection zone around anthrax focuses; (c) control over the implementation of antiepidemic measures in the focuses of anthrax; (d) control over preventive vaccination of people against anthrax; (e) organization of preventive, current and final disinfection in areas of epidemic outbreaks; (f) performance of sanitary and educational work with the population, as well as among persons professionally engaged in the procurement, collection, storage, transportation, processing and trade of raw materials of animal origin with indication of sources of infection, factors, modes of transmission and anthrax prevention measures. Requirements for the organization and conduct of sanitary-epidemic, sanitary and preventive measures to prevent the occurrence of and еhe spread of tularemia shall be observation of the epizootic and epidemiological process, including monitoring of morbidity, study of the endemicity of the area, monitoring of the pathogen circulation, evaluation of situation, forecasting and monitoring of the effectiveness of measures taken.
