Abstract This Order establishes the procedure for import, production and trade of non-iodized dietary salt. It shall be applicable to natural and legal persons performing import, production and trade of non-iodized dietary salt. Regulation of import, production and sale of non-iodized dietary salt is carried out in order to prevent iodine deficiency diseases on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Import, production and sale of non-iodized dietary salt on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall be authorized for the following purposes: (a) for the production of certain types of food products in the production of which in production of which non-iodized dietary salt is used in accordance with sanitary rules; and (b) for persons with contraindications to the use of iodized salt.
