This Order enters into force ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication.
Abstract

This Order establishes the procedure for enrichment (fortification) and market circulation of food products subject to mandatory fortification, and subject to sanitary and epidemiological control and supervision. Enrichment (fortification) shall be intended introduction of vitamins, minerals and other substances in foodstuffs in the process of production or processing for the purpose of improvement of nutritional and biological value and prevention of diseases, caused by their deficiency in a human being. The following types of food products shall be subject to enrichment: (a) wheat baking flour of the highest and first grades; (b) baking yeast, bread, bakery products and pastry; (c) milk and sour-milk products; (d) fat products; (e) potable water packaged in containers; (f) non-alcoholic drinks; (f) cereal products obtained from cereals; (g) ready-to-eat meals; and (h) dietary table salt.
