Abstract This Order establishes the procedure for advertising of biologically active food additives. Advertising of biologically active food additives must: (a) be printed in Kazakh and Russian languages, as well as, at the discretion of an advertiser, also in other languages; (b) be easily readable, printed in a clear and legible font, except for advertising texts of audio advertisements; (c) exclude comparisons with medicinal products; (d) excludes the content of information on the possession of medicinal properties; (e) be authentic and recognizable (without the use of special knowledge or special means); (f) not mislead consumers through abuse of confidence, including with respect to the characteristics, composition, consumer properties, cost (price), expected results of application, results of researches and tests; (g) promote rational application; (h) exclude the comparison of advertised biologically active food additives with products of other natural persons or legal entities, as well as statements, images discrediting their honor, dignity and business reputation; and (i) exclude references in advertisements to recommendations of scientists, health care specialists, as well as public officials, who due to their publicity may encourage the usage and (or) prescriptions of biologically active food additives.
