Abstract

This Order establishes that primary registration of toxic waste shall be carried out by legal persons irrespectively of the form of ownership that receive, treat, destroy, store or bury industrial and consumer toxic waste that are hazardous for human health and environment. Toxic waste shall be classified as follows: (a) extremely hazardous; (b) highly hazardous; (c) moderately hazardous; (d) low-hazard waste; and (e) essentially unhazardous. Transit toxic waste shall not be subject to primary registration. Economic entities shall elaborate treatment, recycling and storage methods of hazardous waste in accordance with hazard class.
