This Order enters into force on the date of publication.
Abstract

This Order establishes a closed season period for motor-powered trawl fishing for certain shrimps' species. It consists of 5 articles specifying geographical coordinates of protected area and closed season (from 21 December to 28 February of every year) for fishing the following shrimps' species: "Penaeus subtilis", "P. brasiliensis", "P. schmitti" and "Xiphopenaeus kroyeri". During closed season whatever activity relevant with these species (keeping, transport, trade, etc.) is strictly prohibited. Sanctions for offenders shall be applied in compliance with Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 February 1967 and Act No. 7.679 of 23 November 1988.
