Abstract

This Order sets regulations on poultry (chicken) breeding for human consumption and registration of commerce with the Danish Poultry Council and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. The commercial entity shall not commence its operations until it has been notified that registration has found place and an assigned code number is given. Any commercial entities holding more than 30 chickens over 16 weeks may freely distribute eggs, which are not subject to control for Salmonella - provided this information is duly notified and that no advertisement or promotion of their sale takes place. Antimicrobials should not be used as a method for control of Salmonella and vaccination may not be administered for the prevention and control of Salmonella.
