Abstract This Order regulates scientific research in protected areas. It consists of 20 articles and 1 appendix establishing the requirements to be met for performing a research program in protected areas. It specifies the terms and conditions for obtaining a licence issued by Ibama, as well as duration, suspension, or terminate of such licence. Projects of research must be sent to the competent authority until 30 September or until 31 March. The Appendix lists references concerning the aforementioned biological reserves.
