Abstract This Order sets regulations concerning the required emergency planning in case of sea pollution by oil and gas spill originating from offshore platforms. The Order is being regulated by the Ministry of Environment and approves contingeny plans adopted. Emergency preparedness and contingency plans for pollution from oil and gas facilities and pipelines shall follow the guidelines in Appendix 1. Emergency plans for oil pollution originating from platforms must include: alarm and communication systems, including early warning of authorities; organization indicating emergency management, staffing, responsibilities and implementation procedure for the fight; overview of fighting equipment, describing the type and indication of capacity and location; description of efforts by different pollution situations, including control methods, monitoring, supply and transport, staffing, temporary storage and disposal of pollutants; and training company.
