This Order enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Order regulates fishing activity within Amazon River basin and its effluents. It consists of 9 articles establishing the prohibition to perform commercial or professional fishing within the aforementioned river basin. Artisanal fishing is allowed only by using authorized fishing gear (specified in the text). A list showing fish species minimum size, permitted by-catch and other fishing restrictions is attached to Article 4. Performing fishing activity with prohibited gear shall be punished by law.
