Keyword Energy conservation/energy production Transport/storage Policy/planning Ecofriendly products/ecofriendly processes Renewable energy Environmental planning Research Data collection/reporting Geographical area Europe, Europe and Central Asia, European Union Countries, North Sea, North-East Atlantic, Northern Europe Entry into force notes Entry into force on 19 August 2011. Abstract This Order applies to the transmission system operator Energinet.dk, transmission companies and users of the transmission network. It sets regulations with regard to Energinet.dk’s technical and financial responsibility for network losses in that part of the transmission network made available. Energinet.dk must disclose information to foreign system operators, to ensure cooperation between the system operators and their performance in receiving system operator's tasks – and shall implement a coherent and comprehensive planning, which can form the basis for an assessment of current and future market conditions, supply, system operations, research and development activities necessary for environmentally friendly and energy efficient transmission and distribution of electricity. Energinet.dk shall therefore submit an annual environmental report to the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) explaining the progress of key environmental development within the electricity supply system (its total emissions of CO2, SO2 and Nox, of methane and nitrous oxide, as well as information on the production and management of the main waste products) and containing summaries and forecasts for production (balance sheet for the previous year and a forecast for the next 10 years). Projects approved on the basis of these issues in accordance to article 18 (section 5) of Order No. 444 of 11 June 2002 on the system operation and use of the transmission grids, are implemented in adherence to articles 20 and 22 of this Order.
