Abstract Public inspection in the field of the protection, management and reproduction of aquatic biological resources is performed by public inspectors of fish protection. Public inspectors are appointed by the central executive body in the field of fishery management and its territorial bodies. Activities and control over the work of public fishery inspectors are exercised by the central executive body in the field of fishery management and its territorial bodies, which: (a) perform the selection of public inspectors; (b) conduct briefings and seminars; (c) provide normative legal acts; (d) coordinate the work of public inspectors, keep track of the work done; (e) direct the work of public inspectors by issuing plans and orders for certain types of activity; (f) provide practical assistance in organizing and conducting fish protection operations; and (g) sum up the work of public inspectors for the current year.
