Order No. 826 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Veterinary Rules for the implementation of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, restrictive and other measures, the establishment and lifting of quarantine and other restrictions aimed at preventing the spread and eliminating foci of contagious pustular dermatitis (ecthyma).

Abstract

These Veterinary Rules establish mandatory requirements for the implementation of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, restrictive and other events, establishment and cancellation on the territory of the Russian Federation of quarantine and other restrictions aimed at preventing the spread and eliminate foci of contagious pustular dermatitis (ecthyma). The Rules establish mandatory requirements for the organization and implementation of measures to eliminate ecthyma, prevent its occurrence and spread on the territory of the Russian Federation, determine the boundaries of the territory to which the regime of restrictive measures and (or) quarantine should apply, including in terms of determining the source of the animal disease, implementation of epizootic zoning, including determination of types of zones in order to differentiate restrictions established by the decision to introduce a regime of restrictive measures and (or) quarantine, restrictions on the production, movement, storage and trade of goods subject to veterinary control (supervision), and requirements for the specifics of the application of such restrictions, including carrying out measures in relation to production facilities located in the quarantine zone. Cancellation of quarantine is carried out 30 calendar days after the first day of absence of clinical signs of ecthyma in susceptible animals subjected to treatment, or death (slaughter, destruction) of the last susceptible animal sick with ecthyma and other measures, including disinfection of livestock premises.
