This Order enters into force one month after its publication.
Abstract

This Order, consisting of 3 articles and one Annex, establishes the maximum number of bee-hives per apiary in the Central region of Portugal. It specifies that the density of apiaries in the municipalities of: Castelo Branco, Covilhã, Fundão, Idanha-a-Nova, Oleiros and Vila Velha de Ródão, in the area under the Department of Food and Veterinary Services of the Central Region, must comply with the parameters specified in the Annex. In the areas of the above mentioned municipalities, the maximum number of bee-hives per apiary is 75. By joint decision of the General Director of Food and Veterinary Affairs and the Regional Director of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Center, the density of apiaries can be extended to other municipalities within the Central region of Portugal.
