This Order enters into force on the first day of the month after its publication.
Abstract

This Order approves the Statute of the National Laboratory of Energy and Geology, I.P. It establishes their composition, duties and responsibilities. It is incumbent upon the Energy Laboratory, (LEN), in line with the strategy for green growth: a) support the implementation of public policies in conjunction with other bodies, namely the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG); b) Develop research in the renewable energy sector. The Geology and Mines Laboratory (LGM), in line with the national strategy for geological resources and the strategy for green growth aims at: a) implementing public policies in conjunction with other bodies, namely the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG); b) ensuring the functions of the State in the development of the geo-scientific knowledge of the geological infrastructure of the national territory, including the coastal zones, the continental shelf and deep water zones; c) promoting geological survey, study and preservation of the geological resources; d) promoting studies for research and application of geological knowledge in the fields of geological risks, location of large infrastructures, geothermal energy, geological storage, namely of CO2 and geological heritage, including related technical activities, etc.
