Abstract

Veterinary rules for keeping sheep and goats for the purpose of their reproduction, rearing and sale establish requirements for the conditions of keeping sheep and goats for the purpose of breeding, rearing, turnover, as well as requirements for the implementation of quarantine measures for small ruminants, mandatory preventive measures and diagnostic studies of small ruminants kept by citizens, including in personal subsidiary farms, peasant (smallholding) farms, individual entrepreneurs, organizations and institutions of the penitentiary system, other organizations and institutions containing up to 1,000 heads of small ruminants inclusive. Farms are not allowed to keep and graze small ruminants on the territories of former and existing landfills of solid domestic waste, animal burial grounds, treatment facilities and enterprises for the processing of raw leather, wool and down, as well as on territories where during the last 2 years rabbit-breeding, fur-breeding and poultry farms were located. Farms need to install fences, preventing the entry of wild animals (excluding birds, bats, rodents and invertebrates) to their territory. Entry into the territory of the farms (with the exception of the territory of the farms on which the residential building is located) must be equipped with a disinfection barrier with disinfectants solutions that do not freeze at temperatures below 0 ° C.
