Abstract

These federal rules and regulations establish mandatory requirements for the organization and conduct of fog dispersal work using methods of active impact on hydrometeorological processes. Fog dispersal work is carried out by legal entities that are specialized organizations for active impact on hydrometeorological processes, on the basis of a license to carry out work on active impact on hydrometeorological processes, issued by the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring. The purpose of fog dispersal work is to increase the visibility range on roads and airfields through deliberate changes in the natural course of fog evolution in the desired direction (changes in the physical properties of the environment in a given part of the surface layer of the atmosphere). Fog dispersal work is carried out using active means. When predicting the appearance of fog, it is necessary to put equipment in full readiness, fill containers with liquid nitrogen, and continuously monitor the parameters of the ground layer: air temperature, temperature profile, wind speed and direction, visibility range.
