Order No. 74 of the Federal Forest Service regarding assessment of the state of forest selection seed-growing and the perspectives of its development for the period of 1996-2000.

Abstract

The President of the Federal Forest Service orders to adopt as recommended methodological base of model structure of the program of development of forest seed growing elaborated by the Central Institution of Forest Seed Growing, to increase the amount of procurement of seeds from the permanent forest seed growing areas in accordance with the Annex 5, to promote arrangements for large-scale introduction of available mass selection methods such as calibration and separation of forest seeds and sorting out of planting materials, to examine the proposals regarding organization of new forest seed growing production stations and specialization of forestries in accordance with the Annex 6, to elaborate perspective program of experimental and production work in the field of forest selection and forest seed growing in the basic forestries, ensure the increase in delivery to the forest institutions of selection and planting materials and to carry out coordination of the activity of specialized institutions and forestries as regards introduction of the progressive methods of seed growing into forest practice. Model Structure of the program of development of forest selection seed growing and forest seed-growing activity for the period of 1996-2000 and further up to 2010 is recommended as methodological basis. The Program consists of 3 Sections. Section 1 contains the analysis of the actual state of forest seed growing and forest seed growing activity at the regional level. Section 2 regards the development of forest selection seed growing. Section 3 regards the development of forest seed growing activity.
