The aim of this Programme is to protect of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources and to avoid the freshwater pollution within the aforementioned zone, delimited by the National Highway 109, the railway Aveiro-Pampilhosa, the IP-1 and the railway Sernada do Vouga-Aveiro until the National Highway 109. It establishes maximum quantity of nitrogen or fertilizers (in kg/ha) to be used in agricultural cultivation according to the different plant species. A list of these plant species and relevant maximum quantity if nitrogen is attached to the text.
