Abstract

This Order regulates the issues of land plots of protected areas of local significance. Local protected areas shall be managed by regional and local government with a view of proper management of natural resources, preservation of historical and cultural heritage, natural areas, promoting recreation, ecological education and tourism at the local level. Regional protected areas shall be classified as follows: (a) forest, fauna and flora; and (b) nature and historical monuments. Local protected areas shall pursue the following objectives: (a) increase the population of wild flora and wild fauna species, to rehabilitate soil and to restore historical and cultural monuments; (b) authorized hunting and trapping management; (c) organization of authorized tourism; (d) exploration of mineral deposits in selected areas; (e) organization of ecological education and training; (f) conduct of traditional farming; and (g) provision of environmentally friendly small-scale production and service to meet local needs.
