Abstract

This Order establishes that Methodical Instructions shall be used as guidelines by research institutions and other organizations carrying out elaboration of water quality standards and maximum allowable concentration of pollutants in water of fishery waterbodies. Water quality standards shall ensure suitability of water for populations of aquatic biological resources and safe reproduction thereof. Indices of water quality and characteristics of natural state of water in surface waterbodies shall be determined by physical, chemical, biological and other indices corresponding to natural conditions unaffected by anthropogenic contamination. Maximum allowable concentration of agents in water shall not reduce fishery value of waterbodies. Approximate safe level of impact (ASLI) shall be calculated through toxicity calculation methods and shall be valid for two-year period.
