Abstract

This Order establishes a closed season for sardine fishing (Sardina pilchardus) and a financial compensation for biological stop. It consists of 21 articles and 3 annexes specifying that from 10 February to 8 April fishing, keeping on board, landing and trade of the aforementioned sardine species is prohibibted within the geographical coordinated specified in the text (a maximum limit of 10% of by-catch is allowed). Annexes establishes administrative requirements in order to benefit from financial compensation.
