Abstract This Order sets regulations with regard to the establishment of a Register for mixtures and products containing nano-materials which are intended for sale to the general public, and which require their manufacturers and importers to notify the substances’ contents. The Danish Environmental Protection Agency is responsible for creating the nano-product Register, and to operate and carry out tasks related to registrations accordance with this Order. Nano-materials’ duty of notification does however not extend to food stuff, medical susbstances, medical equipment, cosmetic products, pesticides and waste - including nano-materials listed in Appendices IV, V of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
