Abstract

Criteria for biological substantiation of for setting up protected fishery areas shall include: (a) species composition with the consideration of precious species of aquatic biological resources within the boundaries of projected protected fishery water area; (b) availability of hibernating areas and breeding grounds; (c) availability of migratory routes; (d) fish growing areas with the consideration of distribution of precious fish species; and (e) fishery significance of waterbody with the consideration of amount of catch. Biological substantiation shall contain the following data: (a) cartography of created protected fishery water area; (b) species composition; (c) amount of fishes; (d) availability of artificial breeding areas; (e) projected results; and (f) evaluation of the necessity for setting up protected fishery water area.
