This Order enters into force on 7 January 2019.
Abstract

This Order, consisting of 3 articles and one Annex, establishes limitations for capture and landing of European anchovy (Engraulis encrasicholus) in Zone 9 of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea in order to manage the available quota throughout 2019. It specifies that fishing directed to anchovy is authorized between 00:00 hours on Monday and 24:00 hours on Thursday. The capture, maintenance on board and landing of anchovy caught in Zone 9 of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea is prohibited. It is not permitted to land and sell anchovy species on a daily basis beyond the following limits: a) 4,500 kg for vessels of more than 16 metres in overall length; b) 2,250 kg for vessels of overall length not exceeding 16 meters. During the months of January and February, the above mentioned quantities shall not exceed 2,000 and 1,800 tons, respectively.
