Abstract

This Order establishes the modalities of certification of homogeneous products within the national certification system. Certification process includes: (a) examination of application; (b) analysis of normative documentation for applicable products; (c) decision-making related to application; (d) elaboration and validation of programme of testing; (e) identification, selection and shipment of sample to the accredited laboratories; (f) testing; (g) inspection of production and processing sites and facilities; (h) assessment of quality control systems; (i) issuance of declaration of compliance of produce; (j) issuance of compliance certificate; and (k) registration of compliance certificate. Period of certification procedure for agricultural commodities and foodstuffs shall not exceed 3 days from the date of submittal of application. Accredited laboratories shall be responsible for quality and reliability of testing.
