Abstract This Order establishes the procedure for keeping the Unified Register of Animals and management of data contained therein. The Unified Register of Animals is created with the aim of: (a) ensuring the uniform principles of identification of animals, their state registration and registration; (b) assistance in protecting the territory of Ukraine from the introduction and spreading of pathogens and optimizing the planning of veterinary and sanitary measures; (c) providing consumers of animal products with updated and reliable information on the origin of animal products, their quality and safety; (d) provision of information about animals to state bodies, natural and legal entities; and (e) traceability of animal products in accordance with the international obligations of Ukraine.
