Abstract

This Order approves the Regulation on fishing activity in the Douro river. It is composed of 4 chapters and 3 annexes regulating fishing in the above river. It defines fishing areas and fishing purposes as commercial or sport fishing. This Order also lists authorized fishing methods (annex I). It establishes requirements for fishing permits as well as marking requirements. Annex II defines minimum size of fish (listing fish species) and minimum size of mesh. Annex III lays down the model to obtain the special fishing licence.
