The fishing inspectors shall have the following rights: (a) to stop and inspect fishing vessels; (b) to inspect fishing permits and fishing gear; (c) to suspend fisheries for research purpose carried out with the violation of federal legislation and international agreements; (d) to detain the infringers and to seize fishing gear and illegal catch; and (e) to draw protocols on the infringement of the national and international fisheries legislation.
