Abstract This Order defines the main provisions regarding the burning of dry vegetation or its remains on the territory of Ukraine. In this Order, the terms are used in the following sense: (a) burning of dry vegetation is the controlled burning of vegetation cover on land plots, which leads to its destruction; (b) burning the remains of dry vegetation - burning specially collected planting material in places designated for this purpose; (c) dry vegetation - a set of plant organisms with a dead aerial part on a certain area of their natural growth, including after mowing; and (d) plant cover - a set of plant communities in a certain area. Burning the remains of dry vegetation is allowed in the following cases: (a) for cooking (in the oven, on the barbecue or with the help of other equipment), heating the house (firewood, brushwood, briquettes); and (b) for traditional and cultural purposes (fire on Ivan Kupala, etc.). Such burning is carried out after prior agreement of the place and time with local self-government bodies.
