Abstract The present Order, issued by the Ministry of Children and Education, lays down rules on vocational training and education for Dairy Technologists. The educational program to become a Dairy Technologist shall the overall objective that students acquire knowledge and skills within the following main areas: 1. Production of dairy products from raw material to the finished packaging and dispatch of the products; 2. Theoretical and practical chemistry, technology, and microbiology related to dairy production; 3. Management of product quality in accordance with businesses' quality objectives; and 4. Collaborative relationships with other professional groups. The educational program concludes with a specialization as a Dairy Technologist, level 4 in the Danish Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning.
