Abstract

This Order establishes that dendrological park “Southern flora species” shall be considered protected area of federal significance. It shall be located in Adler municipal unit of Sochi province (Krasnodar region). Dendrological park “Southern flora species” shall perform the following tasks: (a) planting and growing in artificial conditions of live native and exotic plants (in particular rare and endangered species) with a view of conservation of biological diversity and enrichment of flora; (b) elaboration of introduction and selection methods of ornamental, rare and precious plant species of humid sub-tropics; (c) scientific research; (d) ecological monitoring; and (e) ecological education. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of dendrological park of federal significance “Southern flora species”: (a) exploration, mining and extraction of minerals; (b) soil disturbance; (c) transfer of land plots pertaining to dendrological park of federal significance “Southern flora species”; (d) felling; and (e) ploughing up.
