Abstract

This Order establishes that the Regulation on prophylaxis and eradication of ascaris lumbricoides infestation of swine shall be mandatory for all natural and legal persons. The following arrangements shall be applied for prophylaxis of ascaris lumbricoides infestation of swine: (a) provision of balanced vitamin and mineral substances contents in animal feed; (b) summer camp keeping of swine; (c) daily removal of black liquid; (d) regular cleaning of feeding cribs; (e) prohibition of forest grazing; and (f) prohibition of outdoor run of swine. The following arrangements shall be applied for eradication of ascaris lumbricoides infestation of swine: (a) dehelminthization of all breeding sows one month before farrow; (b) newly born pigs shall be subject to compulsory preimaginal dehelminthization; and (c) sow houses shall be subject to mandatory disinfection before each farrow.
